Ditto is an easy free software application to add to your existing Windows installation. Ditto is essentially a free side-effect of the standard Windows operating system, which allows you to save the files you copy elsewhere for later use by a program. If you are familiar with Windows in this respect then you will know how frustrating it can be to save a file in Windows, only to find that some programs will not open at all? If you have just saved something onto your PC, whether it's a document or some other data, then it's very important that you save this file correctly - otherwise you may be left searching around for what you want and wasting your time. Fortunately, if you download Ditto onto your Windows machine, you can ensure that any document you save is immediately available for use whenever you need it on another PC.
This tutorial on how to use Ditto will show you just how to install and utilise Ditto on your Windows machine, and demonstrate how to make use of the built-in application features to save any document you have. One of the most useful features of Ditto which makes it so useful is its ability to create mirror images of documents on the Windows machine. By right-clicking the document you want to create a duplicate of it, you will be given the option of creating a copy in your Windows clipboard or in your clipboard, the application version. You can then save this copy and edit the original using the tool/button on the right-hand side of the screen.
The next step is to select" clipboard" from the menu of your Ditto application, and from there, select "paste as plain text". When prompted, enter the contents of your clipboard, including any new font that you would like to apply. A nice feature of Ditto which also makes it useful is that you can save any document to it, just by clicking on the "save to clipboard" button. If you would like to edit that document, just click on "edit" and make changes to the document you have just saved. If you are happy with the changes, simply save your document, and you are done with the installation of Ditto!
